Let me explain what we are going to cover on History republic and why.
Ever since I can remember, I was always fascinated by history. I would read books, watch documentaries, movies from the era, played video games like Age of Empires and Rome Total War and finally discovered podcasts like the history of rome.
But in order to learn more, I had to search the internet(which usually started going down a wikipedia rabbit hole), or find a specific book, a movie full of inaccuracies, a game or dig through podcast episodes which proved to be difficult to say the least.
I figured others might have the same challenges which is why I started History Republic.
It is a place to start for newcomers, a website which has information about several different civilizations throughout history and then refers an amateur enthusiast like myself to a podcast they can listen to and provide a roadmap on what they can look for next.
From here, I decided to also create content around the historical heroes or villains, ancient civilization or famous events/battles which is what we will be talking about on our blog, social media and podcast.
So what is my criteria to consider a topic for History Republic?
Simply an event or someone who’s actions and legacy influenced the world around them and changed ours in one way or another.
I am by no means a historian or a professional in the field, I am merely a fan of history and would like to share what I learn.
Join me on this adventure as we travel back in time to visit some of our favorite historical heroes and/or events.
We are but a small team of with a passion and mission to learn more about the past and share what we learn and the resources we find with other amateur enthusiasts.
Discover. Learn. Reflect. Because history is not just about the past; it’s a guide to understanding our present and shaping our future.
